This is a traditional Indonesian food. One of my favorite Indonesia foods.
Ingredients
Beef Oxtail
5 cloves of Shallots
10 cloves of Garlic
1 Potato
3 Tomatoes
2 or 3 Carrots
20 whole Cloves
5 tsp Nutmeg
A handful chopped Parsley
2 or 3 Scallions, chopped
Salt & Pepper
Directions
1. Pour boiled water over the oxtails, drain and set aside.
2. Ground the shallot and garlic then saute til fragrant.
3. Put the oxtails, water, nutmeg, tomatoes, shallots, garlic, whole cloves, salt and pepper in the slow cooker. Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6 hours.
4. About 1 hour to 30 mins before the slow cooking is done, add in the potato, carrot, scallion and parsley.
5. Serve with jasmine rice and Fried Shallots.

Note: You can add in chicken bouillon and sugar for a richer taste.
